Brave Brenda Chapman

Brenda Chapman, whose vision, "Brave", was financed by animation giant, Pixar, is here in Honolulu for a presentation to the public, “Story to Script/Script to Story”. She'll talk about her experience during a two -day workshop at Kapiolani Community College. Ms Chapman had been a successful animator prior to creating, writing, and directing the academy award-winning film, Brave -- featuring Pixar’s first-ever female protagonist. Surprising? One year prior to the film's release Pixar "let her go" as director of the production, due to "creative differences". Brenda Chapman has continued to move forward with other projects and mentoring young filmmakers.
