This month is the 40th Anniversary of Elvis’ Aloha from Hawaii concert! and Hilo Hattie is a major sponsor of a celebration. They're the official retailer in the state of Hawaii with exclusive authorized Elvis Presley Hawaii licensed products so they've created a fun Elvis “store within a store” at their Nimitz location. Open to the public to celebrate Elvis’ 40th anniversary in conjunction with Hilo Hattie’s 50th anniversary, many folks may not know that Elvis came to Hawaii to put on this historical concert specifically to raise support for the creation of the USS Arizona Memorial. During this Elvis celebration the public is invited to share in the excitement at various locations.

Remaining events include: Saturday, January 12th from 11:00am to 1:00pm, watch the live broadcast of famed concert promoter, Tom Moffatt, at Hilo Hattie's store. Moffatt was a close friend to both Elvis and his manager Colonel Tom Parker and played a major role in bringing Elvis to Hawaii for several appearances, including the original “Aloha from Hawaii - Satellite Special” in 1973. If you can’t make it to the store, you can listen to the live broadcast via radio station KKOL, 107.9 Hawaii’s Kool Gold. Monday, January 14th at the Neal Blaisdell Arena, there is a 40th Anniversary Screening of Elvis’ Aloha from Hawaii.
