Our deepest sympathies are extended to the family of U.S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye, whose great work will continue to have effect on all of Hawaii's residents and Native Hawaiians who live outside the state of Hawaii. Through the years we were fortunate to have worked with Senator Inouye and we look forward to sharing some of those video clips with the public on Life is Good but for several generations of Hawaii's people life was and will continue to be enhanced by Daniel K. Inouye's dedication to public service and his personal devotion to Hawaii's communities. Aloha Senator...

End of the World

End of the World

I thought this was such a hilarious poster and concept, I just had to share it. Created by the band's leader, Sonny Silva, who originated the Hot Club of Hulaville, a five piece group that performs 1930s jazz ala Django Reinhardt - Parisian cafes of that era plus plus. Duane Padilla (electric violin) joins Sonny (jazz guitar) and other great players. They'll be performing a special show at Cafe Che Pasta (1001 Bishop St., validated parking, enter on Alakea St.) on 21 December 2012, the date that has been earmarked according to the Mayan Calendar, as the earth's last day of reckoning. Well, if so, there's not much we can do about it until the fat lady sings as they say, but in this case, HotClub of Hulaville's got the beautiful Willow Chang performing with them. So why not sit back and enjoy. Cafe Che Pasta is known for authentic pizza & pasta (handmade) and artisan foods (imported cheeses, meats, freshly made foods using locally grown greens, organic chicken and fresh fish. So dine in comfort while the world is coming to an end. Hot Club of Hulaville will perform songs with titles and lyrics that have to do with "The End". If you can offer any tunes they ought to include please send asap! "This is the End", Doors... The End of the Innocence", Don Henley... "The End of the World", S.Dee & A. Kent... "The End of Romance", dEUS... 'Til the End of Time", Beyonce, "Until the End of Time", Foreigner... and more. Life is Good!

From their poster:

A Small Show at the End of the World. Café Che Pasta... 6pm till... the end! Don't pay your Visa bills.
Forget the car payment. Mortgage due? Pffftt! ALL YOUR MONEY BELONGS TO US! Repent... Let us relieve you of your earthly possessions... Apocalyptic Meals. Drinks of Doom, Jazzy Tunes of Annihilation!
